Thoughts on……navigating obstacles & finding a new way forward.

Some days are tougher than others….some seasons in the garden do not go as planned…..I am learning to say that it’s OK. There’s no doubt that most of us are facing challenges at this time……and being human means an occasional meltdown…….that’s also OK. But after the meltdown we need to put our big girl pants on and find a way through it all. This is a long one (please DO NOT watch if you are a thumbs downer!!)……..I’m chatting my way out of a difficult situation.

  1. With the ever changing stance of our local police trying to interpret Government Instructions & that of different Ministers , haven’t got anywhere near the allotment until yesterday only to find nature has reclaimed it with relish. Now I’ve got clear an area prepare it & plant my 42 different plants bursting in their respective pots. But even now I don’t how long I’ve got before I’m called back to work. Assuming I can in all conscience return , my home being sanctuary to our Parents all in their eighties each with advanced health conditions , cancer , dementia & stroke. Reverted to medication to keep my sanity it seems insurmountable 🥺

    1. Ach, that’s a lot on your plate……I hope you can tackle a bit at a time and get on top of everything.

  2. Vivi. A big hug to you. Have to tried Polhill for compost? I think it’s £20 for delivery. Happy sewing and hopefully sowing too x🌷x https://www.polhill.co.uk/shop/products/gardening/compost/multi-purpose-compost/happy-compost-all-purpose-50l.html

    1. Oh my goodness Sabine…..thank you so much for your incredible kindness and generosity…..it really touches me and means the world to me. Thank you! <3

  4. Thank you for your honesty.. I ‘ve been having my own meltdown and your example of “putting on your big girl pants” has been an inspiration to me.

    1. Oh Harriette, I hope things get a little easier for you soon. Take care……and strap on those Big Girl pants. 😀

  5. Dear Viv. I also have been following you for years and you are a life line for me sometimes when I have bad homesickness. I make a cup of tetleys, grab myself a digestive biscuit from my secret stash and sit down for a chat – at least that is what it feels like.
I know you said not to, but I’m seeing it as an investment in my future entertainment and homesickness cure. Small donation on it’s way per PayPal from Prehn in Germany to cover some of that compost.
Looking forward to all our future “chats”
    Big hugs
    Sheila

    1. Oh thank you so much Sheila….that is so kind and generous of you and much appreciated. I’m glad you can come and sit for a chat with me from time to time……and feel like you’re home. 😀
