Vivi’s Kitchen Garden 190: The toughest garlic harvest ever!

With a whole lot of rain due (finally!) it is high time to get the garlic out and make the bed ready for the next crops to go in. The drought this spring has done me no favours…….the garlic is as good as buried in concrete.

  1. I have been a regular viewer of your channel. Yours is a load of very useful information. I am new to the organic “movement”. I will be growing my own veg’s in the near future.
I remember at one of your videos you mentioned about sites where you purchase your organic clothes. Will you mention them again in your coming descriptions, please.

    1. Ahhh, yes, it’s The Ethical Superstore I get my clothes from – they’re on-line. I particularly like the brands ‘Nomads’ and ‘Peopletree’. Thank you so much for watching and good luck growing your own veggies…….and yay to you going the organic route! 😀

  2. Vivi — I have really enjoyed watching your videos as I learn more about gardening. Have you considered cutting out your scapes when they first come out? They can be eaten in numerous ways and the garlic seems to grow much larger when the scapes are removed.

    1. Yes….I normally do……but this year the scapes were later coming and by the time they did they were drying and yellow almost overnight……but I have saved them to try something else with….. 😉
