It’s time to open another window on the advent calendar……well, two actually as we have the 5th to open as well. And I receive some lovely post from my sister.
Year: 2020
Vivi’s Kitchen Garden: December Garden Tour (2020).
It’s the beginning of December and time to take a stroll around the garden to see what’s still growing……and to see where the little jobs are.
Advent Day 4: First Nations/Influences
An advent calendar window opening and a random conversation with a friend in Canada got me thinking……and got me fishing out some treasure.
Advent Day 3: A bit of a garden tidy.
After a few weeks of neglect I show the garden a bit of love with some tidying……and while I’m at it I can spot the next jobs that need doing. It was a chilly day but the light was glorious and kept stopping me in my tracks!
Advent Day 2: How did the garden fare without me?
After a fairly lengthy absence from the garden I can’t wait to see how things have got on without me. I’m particularly keen to check in on the broad beans and the transplanted Taunton Deane (perennial kale).
Advent day 1: The first window and I change a blade.
Hurray! It’s time to open the first window on my bookish advent calendar……and then time to get on with a little challenge for myself….changing the blade on my rotary cutter. Join me for a little countdown to Christmas.
Thoughts on……Month 43: Do what makes you happy!
As the days get shorter and greyer I have caught myself feeling a little bit low a few times…..I’ve had a wee think about it and identified some ways to help myself ward off these winter blues.
Fabric & final lockdown challenge.
I’ve been having a big sort out of all my fabrics and now that they’re all grouped by project I’m just about ready to get sewing again. I’m also giving you your final lockdown challenge (I hope!) and catching up with how the other challenges went.
A furry friend and a crazy washing machine!
Today is another day for laundering and pressing…….but I have a new little friend for company. Hahahaha, what happened next made my howl with laughter.
Vivi’s Kitchen Garden 313: Jobs around the deck (& a cheeky wee harvest).
We’ve had a couple of frost days in the last week so my attention turns to protecting the things that could be damaged by the cold………it’s all about the deck bits today…..and a cheeky little harvest. Will it be ‘all fur coat and no knickers’?…
