Autumn has definitely arrived and with it chilly night-time temperatures……so it’s time to get in the garden and say goodbye to the summer crops and prepare for their winter cousins.

I made a mistake while doing an on-line grocery shop. Oops. Today I’m making a spiced sweet potato soup, perfect for these damp, chilly days. Also, a reminder of summer in a coulis…..and I need to rescue one of my harvests.

It has been an up and down week…..thank goodness for visitors bearing gifts. A fabulous food pantry haul which will keep me going for quite some time!

Another frugal day in which I have to cram in myriad jobs. I start off with a bus ride to another town for something I can’t get in Swanage. Enjoy the views! Back home there’s plenty to be getting on with!
