Another lovely day of food ahead for me…and a moment to be grateful. For lunch today I’m trying a new soup recipe that caught my attention because of one of the ingredients; mustard. I’ll be using the florets of both broccoli and cauliflower for this one. I can’t wait. I’ll also be chatting about making one veg cover four different meals.

To say the last few days have been difficult would be a massive understatement…..I’ve no choice but to keep calm and carry on! A lovely postbag helped put a bit of a smile back on my face….including the gorgeous rescue dogs……and an evening curled up with a favourite film, unseen for over 30 years….

At Home: What a wind up! House move prep.
In which I find a long forgotten receipt that’s a bit of a shock……and causes my emotions catch up with me. Sticking with new routines, sorting through old papers with a couple of surprises along the way, a couple of guessing games (!) and generally cracking on with my moving prep.

It’s a mix of great and grrrr today. House move news and accessing health services…..and a few errands on the High Street. Join me for a catch up. Ps. re the CD…..I said I don’t speak Spanish…I meant, of course, Italian.

On the Sofa: Where are the shop assistants?!
I’m filling lavender bags again…..and chatting as I go. Another mixed bag today including; staff-free shops, Seasalt Fabric (and Liberty fabric) winding cassette tapes with a pencil, storing potatoes, Romeo and Juliet….and more besides. Grab a cuppa.

The weather has been foul so I’m hunkered down and sewing, getting on with my cottage industry. Today I’m showing you how to make a patchwork lavender bag…..with some sewing machine tips along the way (for beginners); winding a bobbin, threading the machine, turning a corner, marking for seams.
