It’s a beautiful day, perfect for a cliff top walk to Peveril Point and the coastguard lookout. I normally do this walk at sea level but having lovely friends with me gives me the confidence to tackle it from high up on the down. Gorgeous birdsong in the tress at the top….we can hear: Eurasian Blackcap, Eurasian Wren, European Robin and Common Chiffchaff. Along the way we see Swanage Bay and Peveril Bay, Old Harry Rocks and surrounding rock stacks, Durlston Castle….plus all the flora.

On the Sofa: How I am losing weight.

New toys to play with in the garden and some slow, methodical work. It won’t happen overnight…..but every day it will get a step closer to being my dream garden. NB: camera/focus issue at 10 minutes….it resolves after a couple of minutes. Also….doh…I kept calling the flower Cosmos….it is, of course, Nigella…..

It’s a long one….but hopefully full of ideas and tips for you….grab a cuppa! The hunt begins. I need a few items of furniture and would prefer to buy second-hand/vintage/thrifty both for my budget, for my aesthetic and for environmental impact. I also want to buy locally if possible….and do my ‘shopping’ on foot. It won’t be a quick process…..but it should be fun.
