Vivi’s Kitchen Garden: The last bed…and why I love my soil!

Today I am finally getting on with my last bed…….this one has had masses of organic matter added so I’m hoping it will be an improvement on the previous three beds I tackled. It’s also the day for the last of the seedlings/plants coming to the garden from my home – Pelargonium cuttings. There’s a little bit of shed chat, as usual, some quiet time just getting on with the work…..and a fork in the soil test.

Vivi’s Kitchen Garden: June Garden Tour (’21).

The kitchen garden is showing signs of new life as we go into June…..I celebrate that…..but I also can’t get away from all the outstanding jobs which really should have been done a month ago. I am going to say ‘never mind’ yet again (!)…….and hope for the best. The truth is, growing a vegetable garden means starting from scratch every single year…….it takes time and a lot of work……I simply have not had the time but I hope to make up for it with the work.
