Vivi’s Kitchen Garden 178: Earthing potatoes up, new herbs & a thank you or two (plus a crazy beer!).

So much to do, so little energy to do it with! A surprise parcel helps though……. With a predicted cold spell I get stuck into earthing up my spuds and protecting the new herbs…….dig a little more, move lots of heavy stuff and generally work until I need a beer……and what a beer it was!

  1. Hi Vivi , I started following your channel after watching you on Sean Cameron’s Diary of a UK Gardener. Watching your journey has been both uplifting and heart touching. As an unrelated aside, I have noticed you mentioning the scarcity of green (nitrogen rich ) compost at times , in your pile. I don’t know if that is the case in the UK but here in the US, you can very often collect spent coffee grounds for free at various coffee shops. Depending on the availability, this may be a possibility for you?.

    1. Hello Cathy – thank you so much for watching and your wonderfully kind comment. Unfortunately there aren’t any coffee shops near me……but I do add my urine to the pile once a week or so and that helps greatly. Cheers lovely. 😀
