Vivi’s Kitchen Garden 310: Broad bean experiment & garlic update (plus new seeds).

On a chilly, misty morning I am excited to take the first peak at the broad bean experiment! I also check in on the recently planted garlic and enjoy some new, gifted seeds and bulbs.

  1. Hello Vivi! I’m a bit confused, as I thought you’d be having a hard freeze there in London. Perhaps you are more like Seattle that only has an occasions freeze or a week r two at a time. I had wonderful long growing gardens there up against the Cascade mountains. Here in Indiana it froze early this year, and most everything is dead. It will be a very long winter. Our commercial farmers don’t even plant until June. Usually I do in May.
Enjoyed the chat, except its far too one sided I’m afraid.☺

    1. I’m very lucky with my climate here…..it’s generally very mild. We do get the occasional freeze but it doesn’t tend to last long. Phew – means I can grow all year round for which I am most grateful! 😀
