It’s time to harvest the lavender – I ought to have done it a couple of weeks ago……never mind, so long as it is gathered now before our forecast rain comes. I chat a little about varieties, planting, growing conditions, drying etc, the things I have done to give me the best chance of a wonderful harvest.

Thoughts on…..Month 64: Time is broken!
Stop the clocks!! Goodness me, another month has disappeared in the blink of an eye! As I gather my thoughts at the end of month 64 I can’t help but think that time is broken…….hahaha, who broke time?! My various internal clocks are wonky….too quick, too slow, goodbye summer……hello spring?

It has been a busy week….getting busier by the day……..so how lovely to finish it with a visit from friends, a long put-off job getting done……and a bit of potion making in the kitchen!

Continuing with our challenge of having a low (or even no) spend year; today I’m tackling the subject of making a bit of extra money……..the side-hustle…….and I’ve had a fair few in my life!
Vivi’s Kitchen Garden: Tomatoes, chickpeas & future garden plans.
For the last few days every visit to the garden has been all about watering…….so when I visited today I noticed a few changes, a few jobs that needed doing and set-to in the tomato bed before moving on to harvest the chickpeas. It’s a chatty chickpea harvest where, amongst other things, I think about what I would like to grow in my future garden.
On the Sofa: Getting Steamy!
With temperatures getting too high for gardening again I hunker down at home……and get even hotter! I’m pressing linens and chatting about a conversation with a garden friend which gave me a bit of a light-bulb moment. Plus….a little TMI moment at the end that gets me even more steamy.
