At Home: Spring Clean! Bureau & Paperwork.

Spring cleaning starts today! Cleaning, yes, but also sorting and organising and a bit of clearing out. Today it’s all about the paperwork that accumulates and I’ll be chatting as I go about some ideas for money saving (getting the best deals), organising, decluttering and recycling some awkward stuff.

In the Kitchen: Mushroom Risotto (meals under £1).

I haven’t cooked with mushrooms in the longest time so when I got those cook kits free I was prompted to make today’s risotto…….I ignored the recipe with the kit (I explain why in the video) and made the version I often used to make for myself. Gosh, it was good! Main meals for less than £1.

On the Sofa (with books): Girl, Woman and other fiction. #booktube

Unusually for me this is nearly all fiction. By accident it’s all women, by purpose it’s some slightly more modern authors I was recommended after Black History month. Today’s reads are: Andrea Levy’s ‘Small Island’, Delia Owens’ ‘Where the Crawdads Sing’, Bernadine Evaristo’s ‘Girl, Woman, Other’ and the start of Michelle Obama’s ‘Becoming’. Please be kind and respectful when you share comments and opinions.

Please be kind and respectful when you share comments and opinions. Living a simple life….and finding joy each day.

At Home: Where will your food come from?

Continuing from my last video when I let you know I have given up my garden…….today I am talking about time as money. How much did I ‘earn’ by growing my own food? How will I now find the money to buy all the veggies I haven’t grown? A checks and balances hard look at where my time goes and where I need to make changes.

Beyond Frugal: What I do not buy & Ethical Shopping

One of the main reasons for making this video is NOT to try to persuade you to ditch the things you love……but to explain why my shopping bill is always so low. Please be kind and respectful when you share ideas and opinions.

Continuing from my small changes, big savings video I have done some more maths today regarding savings made by not purchasing certain items……it’s quite astonishing! Also my March purchases that were not food related……one of which introduces my ethical shopping.
